Changes to Maternity Leave Rights

From 23rd July 2008, women who are expecting their baby to be born on or after 5th October 2008 will be entitled to the same non-cash benefits they were entitled to whilst on Ordinary Maternity Leave (OML) including accrual of annual leave, continued use of company car, mobile, gym memberships etc. Periods of Additional Maternity leave (AML) must also be taken into consideration when calculating length of service for pension and annual leave entitlements.
