A recent report by BackCheck (employment screening company) found of the job applications they screened;
15% had lied about their identity5% had lied about their criminal convictions30% lied about their employment history at interview20% lied about their references at interview10% lied about education
Even Sir Alan Sugar was duped by last years Apprentice winner, Lee McQueen, who lied on his CV about his education.
So it can happen to the best of us – always properly vet job seekers!
